When you think about the word magic, what is the first thing that comes to mind? DISNEY WORLD! You may be asking why? Well I will tell you why! Disney is a magical place, it's the kind of place where you feel connected with your inner child.
When I was younger we would go to Disney every 2 or 3 years, but I never imagined that as an adult I would enjoy it even more! The reason you enjoy it more as an adult is because it triggers all your childhood memories. It makes you want a Mickey shaped balloon, eat all the Mickey shaped candy and drink all the fun drinks!
We decided to take a trip just us two (me + fiancee). We wanted to experience all the fun together and do the unimaginable, 3 parks in one day! Yes you read it correctly, 3 parks in one day. Stephanie that's a little crazy, but not impossible. We wanted to see something in every park therefore we had to plan ahead and make it happen.
Since we live in Miami, Orlando is a couple of hours away. I believe it's better to have time to rest from the drive and from the parks, that's why we decided to go from Friday to Sunday. We hopped in the amazing Toyota Avalon Hybrid and started our mini adventure. Let me tell you a little bit about this car, it's a Hybrid which right off the bat makes it a great choice for road trips. This car has premium efficiency, it's very comfortable and the drive is really smooth. It has all the features Toyota is offering in the majority of their vehicles, adaptive cruise control, sensors, reverse camera and many more. Definitely something to consider when looking at your next lease or purchase.
I know that in Orlando there are many hotels to choose from, but you may want to consider one that offers entertainment at walking distance. Wyndham Orlando International Drive hosted us to the most wonderful stay Orlando has to offer. They are located next to I-Drive 360 known for the famous Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, the Madam Tussauds Museum and the Sea Life Aquarium. This hotel is not only in Orlando and it's super convenient when going to Disney, it also has everything you need to sleep, eat and play. The best of all worlds!
Let me tell you a little more about our stay, we arrived on a Friday and the check-in was under 5 minutes (WIN WIN). It was lunch time so we headed to our room and ordered room service, NY Style Pizza (it was really good). After indulging on a delicious pepperoni pizza we went next door to explore all the attractions.
The Coca-Cola Eye was one for the books, the view of the Orlando sunset was breathtaking (don't forget to ask for your ice cold coke when you get off the ride). Next was the Madam Tussauds Museum, I've never been to a wax museum before, I was both in shock and thrilled. We even got our very own wax hands at the end of the visit! Last but not least we headed to the Sea Life Aquarium, it's a mini aquarium that has a glass tunnel with a 360 view of the fish tank, pretty amazing. After an awesome first day we headed back to our room to get ready for dinner!
Woke up super early and headed over the hotel lobby and grabbed some Starbucks (Yes they have Starbucks at the lobby, HAPPY KID) and off to the parks! Walt Disney World granted us with two one-day park hopper tickets and we were about to take it to the next level. First stop was Magic Kingdom to meet Alice in Wonderland herself. I have to say the resemblance was pretty amazing.
Then we took the Magic Bus (as they call it) to Animal Kingdom. We hadn't had the chance to see the world of Pandora, let me tell you those 3 hours were so worth it. The creatures look so real and it's a truly magical ride. After Pandora I wanted to see what was all the hype about the Mount Everest ride, how do you feel about being in reverse on a rollercoaster? I'll leave you to try it.
Next stop was Epcot, I couldn't remember when was the last time I had been to this park. This park is for adults to enjoy 100%, not only you have drinks around the world but also have amazing food! My personal favorite was Mexico, the margarita was so good and did you know they have an it's a small world ride (different version) inside the pyramid? Make sure you don't miss out next time you are in Epcot.
At last we went back to Magic Kingdom, got to enjoy a couple of rides and waited for the most amazing Christmas themed fireworks show. This is where the magic happens, the castle, the lights and an unbelievable projection on the castle of our favorite Disney movies.
